With the world cup fever becoming increasingly frenetic with each day that passes and many fans of the sport eagerly awaiting the first ever tournament to be hosted on the African continent (South Africa, just in case you don’t know), I thought I would share this insightful piece on the state of the game in Africa and share the experience of many youngsters who dream of super-stardom only to be given career-ending tackles by football agents (pardon the pun).
