On the 1st of October, while the rest of Nigeria celebrated independence day, one artist - Kelly Handsome - who had silently been planning a coups d’état to topple the reigning government which has had the nigerian masses dancing to its every tune literally. Between them Terry G, Wande Coal and D’ Banj are headline acts with numerous hits to their name. But none of them saw this coming, and if they did, they did not know the the storm which the calm was brewing.

The Nigerian masses awoke to a diss song title “IGWE (Kom Kom)” which for many years to come will still be playing on the airwaves. A track on which he launched the most scathing attack ever witnessed by the Nigerian music industry. Like a militant he fired shot in his attempt challenge his perceived oppressors - Wande Coal, D’ Banj and Terry G.
