Streetnaij went to cover Sauce kid UK tour (London) and came across one of the key players in the Nigerian Music industry. The guys behind the daily success of the ever growing Nigerian music industry. Masterminderz UK is a name that is becoming one of the most powerful Brands in the Nigerian music industry. They have produced for big time artistes like Olu Maintain and Konga just to name a few. In the short interview, streetnaij took the case of career seeking artistes to masterminderz and also what masterminderz have been cooking so far. Streetnaij also came across one of the best video producers around (Lucid Visual: Nosa Igbinedion)

Streetnaij: So, whats the name of your Group?

Masterminderz: Its not a group. Its like an organisation (Masterminderz UK). Basically, am the founder and I kind of put a lot of artistes on it. If you good, just come around and I’ll produce you and you’ll be on it but I’ll just say that your production is done by Masterminderz UK. So, thats what its about. Masterminderz UK has been around since way back and we’ve done alot of things in Nigeria and we are now in the UK doing things real good.

Streetnaij: Are you going back to Nigeria or where are you fully based?

Mastermindaz: Basically, Mastermindaz UK is like, anywhere we are in the World, we represent. Thats the way it is. If we are in Nigeria, we represent. If we are in London, we represent and if we are in the US, we also represent.

streetnaij: There are  so many talent out there looking for guys to produce their stuff. How can you help them out?

Mastermindaz: Basically, in the UK, Mastermindaz is just getting Big but in Nigeria, I don’t think you can ask any artiste if they Know the name Mastermindaz. They are going to tell you straight away about us 

Streetnaij: We have enough Nigerians in the UK doing some music stuff. If they want to get to you, how do they do that?

Streetnaij: So, what’s the Nigerian Music industry saying?

Mastermindaz: As you know, the boom in Africa is in Nigeria and everything we do here in the UK is basically promotions. We just trying to make things look the right way. That is, some big shit is really going down. Both in the UK, Ameria and back home in Nigeria. However the Nigerians here in the UK are going to be feeling mastermindaz cause we done something from way back. When you look at Olu Maintain, checking out his album, we have done a lot of work for him and its really really good. Take the “jedi-jedi” track, we did that and some tracks on the album too. If you have heard “baby Konga” by Konga, Mastermindaz is behind that stuff. However, at the moment, we are trying to make something Big happen in the UK precisely London. As you know, everything is a process and its definately going to happen soon. We’ve got a video now but its just a UK thing but we did it in a Nigerian way. We did it in Yoruba ( appearance by Lucid visual producer )
