Most Nigerians must have been proud seeing one of their stars perform on a world class stage with millions of TV audience. However, the rumour that emerged after the Nelson Mandela birthday ceremony in London drew huge controversy.
It is closely gathered that DBanj was to perform at the event but was dropped due to financial reasons.

The gist was that DBanj refused to perform free of charge at the event and instead requested a clear contract. It is alleged that he wanted to be paid to appear for the concert. This prompted Zain to drop him and 9ice became the alternative. Streetnaij is however not sure if the relationship between DBanj and Zain is now strained. More Gist to follow on this.
