Several weeks ago, Streetnaij reported that Jim Iyke one of Nigeria’s movie star was entering the music industry. Without a doubt he is an institution in the movie industry but venturing into the Music industry is no Premature stuff. We can officially confirm that his single Featuring Tuface is now out. We have seen Nigeria’s movie stars (Genevieve and Omotola) feeling like the music industry is an easy money making terrain but, listen to Jim Iyke then make your opinion cause am pleading that he drops the mic before its too late. The beat is cool and well produced. Tuface did his best in making it a hit but, you can tell that Jim is lost in the process. In our first report, we talked about how Jim Iyke’s strategy of featuring so many music stars might backfire. This is it. Streetnaij do think more time should be spent encouraging other young and upcoming stars. No beef, its just a music fact. If the album turns a hit, it will be as a result of the top featured artistes and not for Jim. The competition in the music industry is stiff and Nigerians know when something has got quality. Irrespective of name, if you good, you good. Take the like of Timmaya, 9ice and P-Square. They made it to the top without featuring big stars because music lovers saw the qality of their songs. Hence, I peacefully rest my case.
