Without a doubt, he is one of the top rated and highly paid movie stars in Nigeria and Africa as a whole. He has actually confirmed that he’s working on an album which he did with Tuface, Timmaya, 9ice and other Afican stars. His entrance into the music world seems shocking. One would wait to see if his outstanding movie career would be duplicated. Genevieve Nnaji a movie star in Africa, tried this and was woefully a disaster. She was advised to pass back the mic to music artiste and concentrate on her movie stuff. However, featuring Tuface, Timmaya and others might aid sales but the question remains whether its a wise decision since he might be overshadowed by these superstars. He has choosed to shoot some videos in the United States and the budget for this album would definitely be huge but, it might turn out that fans would remember those featured rather than Jim Iyke. Nevertheless, it might be a success but we await the album.
He has recently been declared the sexiest Nollywood actor which was disputed by some movie loving fans. However some of his female fans do believe he deserves it. With so many actors in the industry, it is left for the fans to decide the outcome of this controversial enthronement.
